TIFF to JPEG Conversion FAQ
Does the TIFF to JPEG converter keep transparency?
+
When JPEG supports an alpha channel (PNG, WebP, GIF) and the original TIFF had transparency, we keep it. Converting to a format without transparency (JPG, BMP) fills transparent areas with white by default.
Can I batch-convert TIFF images to JPEG?
+
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
Will the converted JPEG have the same dimensions as my TIFF?
+
Yes — pixel dimensions are preserved by default. If you want to resize during conversion, use the JPEG resize tool after the conversion finishes.
Is my TIFF image private when I convert it?
+
Yes. Uploads travel over HTTPS, nobody reads the contents, and nothing is shared. Your uploaded TIFF and the resulting JPEG are deleted from our servers automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result.
Why is my converted JPEG file larger than the original TIFF?
+
If JPEG is lossless and TIFF was lossy (or vice versa), file size will change. PNG (lossless) is typically larger than JPG (lossy) for photographs but smaller for solid-color graphics and screenshots.
Can I convert TIFF to JPEG on my phone?
+
Yes. The converter is mobile-responsive and processes images server-side, so you can convert TIFF to JPEG from any iPhone or Android device without using local storage.
