When BMP supports an alpha channel (PNG, WebP, GIF) and the original TIFF had transparency, we keep it. Converting to a format without transparency (JPG, BMP) fills transparent areas with white by default.
Can I batch-convert TIFF images to BMP?

Will the converted BMP have the same dimensions as my TIFF?

Why is my converted BMP file larger than the original TIFF?

If BMP is lossless and TIFF was lossy (or vice versa), file size will change. PNG (lossless) is typically larger than JPG (lossy) for photographs but smaller for solid-color graphics and screenshots.
