When SVG supports an alpha channel (PNG, WebP, GIF) and the original BMP had transparency, we keep it. Converting to a format without transparency (JPG, BMP) fills transparent areas with white by default.

Will the converted SVG have the same dimensions as my BMP?

Why is my converted SVG file larger than the original BMP?

If SVG is lossless and BMP was lossy (or vice versa), file size will change. PNG (lossless) is typically larger than JPG (lossy) for photographs but smaller for solid-color graphics and screenshots.
