When JFIF supports an alpha channel (PNG, WebP, GIF) and the original PNG had transparency, we keep it. Converting to a format without transparency (JPG, BMP) fills transparent areas with white by default.

Will the converted JFIF have the same dimensions as my PNG?

Why is my converted JFIF file larger than the original PNG?

If JFIF is lossless and PNG was lossy (or vice versa), file size will change. PNG (lossless) is typically larger than JPG (lossy) for photographs but smaller for solid-color graphics and screenshots.
