When PNG supports an alpha channel (PNG, WebP, GIF) and the original JFIF had transparency, we keep it. Converting to a format without transparency (JPG, BMP) fills transparent areas with white by default.
Can I batch-convert JFIF images to PNG?

Will the converted PNG have the same dimensions as my JFIF?

If PNG is lossless and JFIF was lossy (or vice versa), file size will change. PNG (lossless) is typically larger than JPG (lossy) for photographs but smaller for solid-color graphics and screenshots.
