Does the PNG to SVG converter keep transparency?

When SVG supports an alpha channel (PNG, WebP, GIF) and the original PNG had transparency, we keep it. Converting to a format without transparency (JPG, BMP) fills transparent areas with white by default.

Will the converted SVG have the same dimensions as my PNG?

Yes — pixel dimensions are preserved by default. If you want to resize during conversion, use the SVG resize tool after the conversion finishes.
Is my PNG image private when I convert it?

Yes. Uploads travel over HTTPS, nobody reads the contents, and nothing is shared. Your uploaded PNG and the resulting SVG are deleted from our servers automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result.
Why is my converted SVG file larger than the original PNG?

If SVG is lossless and PNG was lossy (or vice versa), file size will change. PNG (lossless) is typically larger than JPG (lossy) for photographs but smaller for solid-color graphics and screenshots.
