DOC to TXT Conversion FAQ
How do I convert DOC to TXT?
+
Drop your DOC file onto the upload area. PDF.to reads the source structure and writes an equivalent TXT document you can download immediately.
Can PDF.to batch-convert many DOC files at once?
+
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
What is the largest DOC file I can convert?
+
The free plan has a size limit that varies by file type; PRO allows much larger files. Documents that large usually have heavy embedded images.
Is the DOC to TXT converter free?
+
Yes. One conversion an hour is free, with no account needed, for a file within the free size limit. A paid plan removes the hourly limit and the size limit, and lets you add several files to one job.
Does PDF.to keep my DOC content?
+
Only for a short time. Your uploaded DOC and the resulting TXT are deleted from our servers automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. Nobody reads the contents, and nothing is shared.
Why does my TXT look slightly different from my DOC?
+
Different document formats have different default fonts, margins, and pagination rules. We preserve content faithfully; minor visual differences in fonts or page breaks are expected.
