EPUB to TXT Conversion FAQ
How do I convert a EPUB ebook into a TXT document?
+
PDF.to unpacks the chapters, text, and images of your EPUB and rebuilds them as an editable TXT document. The reflowable ebook becomes a normal document you can open and edit.
Why convert a EPUB to TXT rather than just reading it?
+
A TXT document is editable, easy to quote from, and works in standard word processors and review workflows. Converting a EPUB to TXT is how you turn a finished ebook back into a working draft.
What happens to the reflowable layout of the EPUB?
+
A EPUB has no fixed pages, so PDF.to flows the text into normal paragraphs in the TXT. The result paginates according to the TXT page size rather than reproducing any single e-reader view.
Can I edit the resulting TXT in Word, Pages, or Google Docs?
+
Yes. The TXT is a standard document, so you can open it in any major word processor and edit, restyle, or export it however you like.
Does the converter handle DRM-protected EPUB files?
+
No. PDF.to only converts unprotected EPUB files; it does not remove DRM. Strip protection from your own purchases through the legitimate path before converting to TXT.
Can I batch-convert several EPUB files to TXT?
+
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
Is the EPUB to TXT conversion free?
+
Yes, within the free size limit. PRO unlocks larger EPUB uploads and parallel conversions.
Does PDF.to keep my EPUB ebook?
+
Only for a short time. Your uploaded EPUB and the resulting TXT are deleted from our servers automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. Nobody reads the contents, and nothing is shared.
