Does PDF.to keep a copy of my PDF?

Only for a short time. Your uploaded PDF and the resulting MD are deleted from our servers automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. Nobody reads the contents, and nothing is shared.
Why is my MD layout slightly different from the original PDF?

MD is a flowing-text format; PDF is a fixed-page format. Some absolute positioning becomes paragraph flow during conversion, which is normal and editable.
