Each frame is decoded from the MPG (lossless) and re-encoded as WebP. If WebP is lossless (PNG), no quality is lost. If WebP is JPG, we use high quality (90) by default.

Yes — file names are zero-padded sequence numbers (WebP_00001.WebP, WebP_00002.WebP, ...) so they sort correctly. The options panel can also embed the source timecode in EXIF.

How large can my MPG video be?

The free plan has a size limit that varies by file type; PRO allows much larger files. Frame extraction is fast even for long videos.

No. Both the source MPG and the WebP output ZIP are deleted within an hour. Conversion runs in an isolated worker.

Yes. Use the trim controls to set start and end times, and only the selected range produces WebP frames.
What if my MPG has variable frame rate?

We normalize to a constant frame rate internally before extraction, so the WebP stills are spaced evenly in time regardless of how the source was encoded.
