How many frames will I get from the DivX?

By default, one frame per second of DivX runtime. The options panel lets you pick every frame, one per 5 seconds, only key-frames, or a custom interval.
What resolution will the extracted JPEG images have?

Source resolution. A 1080p DivX produces 1920×1080 JPEG stills; a 4K source produces 3840×2160 stills. Downscale in the options panel if needed.

Each frame is decoded from the DivX (lossless) and re-encoded as JPEG. If JPEG is lossless (PNG), no quality is lost. If JPEG is JPG, we use high quality (90) by default.

Yes — file names are zero-padded sequence numbers (JPEG_00001.JPEG, JPEG_00002.JPEG, ...) so they sort correctly. The options panel can also embed the source timecode in EXIF.
Can I make a contact-sheet or thumbnail grid from the DivX?

Yes — pick the 'contact sheet' option to get a single JPEG containing a grid of thumbnails, useful for storyboarding or video previews.
How large can my DivX video be?

The free plan has a size limit that varies by file type; PRO allows much larger files. Frame extraction is fast even for long videos.
Is the DivX to JPEG extraction free?

Yes, within the free size limit. PRO unlocks larger files, higher extraction rates, and parallel processing.
Does PDF.to keep my DivX or extracted JPEG files?

No. Both the source DivX and the JPEG output ZIP are deleted within an hour. Conversion runs in an isolated worker.
Can I extract images only from a section of the DivX?

Yes. Use the trim controls to set start and end times, and only the selected range produces JPEG frames.
What if my DivX has variable frame rate?

We normalize to a constant frame rate internally before extraction, so the JPEG stills are spaced evenly in time regardless of how the source was encoded.
