Why convert a GIF to MKV instead of leaving it as is?
+
A MKV video is far smaller than an animated GIF of the same length and plays inline on phones without auto-looping quirks. Converting GIF to MKV is the standard fix for heavy animations that lag in a feed.
Several files in one job need a paid plan. Free use is one file per conversion, one conversion an hour. On a paid plan you can add several files to one job, then download each result on its own or all of them in one ZIP.
איז דער װײַזונג פֿון GIF צו MKV פריי?
+
Yes. One conversion an hour is free, with no account needed, for a file within the free size limit. A paid plan removes the hourly limit and the size limit, and lets you add several files to one job.
װעט די MKV שפּילן אין געזעלשאַפֿטלעכע מעדיע און אָנזאָג־אַפּליקאַציעס?
Only for a short time. Your uploaded GIF and the resulting MKV are deleted from our servers automatically about 24 hours after the conversion, which leaves time to download the result. Nobody reads the contents, and nothing is shared.
