A Practical Guide to Lawyering Skills provides a key introduction to the fundamental skills of writing and drafting, interviewing and advising, research and Opinion writing, and advocacy, while also introducing students to the key skills needed by modern lawyers, such as Information Technology.

Written to provide students with guidance and support in developing their lawyering skills across both undergraduate and vocational courses, the book draws on the authors' long experience as both academics and practitioners, both as solicitors and barristers. Deveral Capps is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Northumbria and a barrister. Clare Sandford is a Senior Lecturer at Northumbria and a solicitor.
