📙 IL-8 by Iizasa H., Matsushima K. — free pdf

Interleukin 8 (IL-8), a proinflammatory chemokine, is produced by various types of cells upon stimulation with inflammatory stimuli and exerts a variety of functions on leukocytes, particularly, neutrophils in vitro. Recent studies show that inhibition of IL-8 functions by either administration of specific antibody or disruption of the gene encoding the IL-8 receptor dramatically reduced neutrophils infiltration into acute inflamed tissues. IL-8 plays an pivotal role in acute inflammation by recruiting and activating neutrophils.

Conceptual Modeling - ER 2003: 22nd International Conference on Conceptual Modeling, Chicago, IL, USA, October 13-16, 2003. Proceedings download pdf by Erich Neuhold (auth.), Il-Yeol Song, Stephen W. Liddle, Tok-Wang Ling, Peter Scheuermann (eds.)

The 22nd International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER 2003) returned to Chicago after an absence of 18 years. Chicago, a city well known for its trendsetting and daring architecture, has met the new century with a renewed commitment to open public ...

IL-1Ra
IL-1Ra free pdf by Barry Bresnihan, Jean-Michel Dayer

Inflammation is an important homeostatic mechanism that limits the effects of infectious agents. However, inflammation might be self-damaging and therefore has to be tightly controlled or even abolished by the organism. Interleukin 1 (IL-1) is a critical ...

IL-10 Receptor
IL-10 Receptor free download by de Waal Malefyt R.

IL-10 interacts with its tetrameric receptor complex consisting of two IL-10R♂ and two IL-10R♀ chains resulting in the phosphorylation and activation of JAK1 and TYK2 kinases, which in turn phosphorylate two tyrosine residues in the intracytoplasmic parts...

IL-1b
IL-1b free pdf by DinarcIIo C.

The 'discovery* of IL-1b is found in the literature on the pathogenesis of fever. Although initially concerned with the pyrogenic properties of gram-negative bacterial endotoxins, pyrogenic protein of endogenous origin and free of endotoxins was described...

IL-1a
IL-1a epub download by Dinarello C.A.

IL-1a is distinct from the other agonist member of the IL-1 family, IL-1b Although IL-la triggers the same IL-1 receptor and although many of the biological effects of IL-la are similar to those of IL-1b in humans IL-1a is predominantly an intracellular m...

IL-1 Receptor Type I
IL-1 Receptor Type I free pdf by Dinarello Ch.A.

The IL-1 receptor type I is the ligand-binding chain of the IL-1 heterodimer complex. It is a three-domain Ig-like extracellular receptor with a cytoplasmic domain containing the Toll protein-like sequences. The IL-1 R type I does not function without the...

IL-1 Receptor Type II
IL-1 Receptor Type II download pdf by Dinarello Ch.A.

The extracellular domains of type II IL-1R are structurally related to those of the type I IL-1R; however, the type II IL-1R is a decoy receptor in that the primary ligand, IL-1♀, preferentially binds to this receptor rather than the signaling receptor. A...

IL-12 Receptor
IL-12 Receptor pdf free by Esche C., Shurin M.R., Lotze M.T.

The functional high-affinity IL-12 receptor is composed of at least two ♀-type receptor subunits, each independently exhibiting a low affinity for IL-12. Both subunits are members of the cytokine receptor superfamily. IL-12 p40 interacts primarily with IL...

IL-6 Receptor
IL-6 Receptor free download by Hibi M., Hirano T.

Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a pleiotropic cytokine that regulates immune reaction, hematopoiesis, and differentiation of the nervous system. The receptor for IL-6 (IL-6R) consists of two chains, namely IL-6R♂ and gp130. Both IL-6R♂ and gp130 belong to thetype...
